“Teaching and working one-on-one with students has proven to be more rewarding than I ever could have imagined.  I have personally been a part of and witnessed more success stories than most teachers are able to in their entire career working in the classroom.

It is my desire to build the intrinsic motivation to learn and a desire for learning within each of my students.  To reach this goal, I try to make my passion for teaching visible through everything I express verbally, execute physically, and convey emotionally.  When a student can tell that a teacher is passionate about what they are teaching, they are more likely to build the same desire for learning.  Teaching, to me, is far more complex and means so much more than instructing and sharing knowledge.  Rather, a teacher can be defined as a facilitator in all aspects of the students’ lives.

As educators, we can help students develop a sense of self and well-being, help them find their role within the classroom, encourage them to take challenges, teach them to become better learners and help them to become better equipped for their futures.”

“Being a teacher is a wonderful challenge with many rewards.  Working one-on-one with students is a chance to elevate a student to new possibilities.  Working with A+ Tutoring has been a phenomenal opportunity to make a lasting impact in a powerful way to a learner who may have become discouraged or been let down by our school system.  I am dedicated to helping my students have a positive attitude about learning again!

I believe in teaching the whole person and teaching every person. Effective learning requires a collaboration between teachers, students, and parents grounded in mutual respect and trust. I believe learning takes place best in a positive safe environment, and I take pride in being able to provide this for all of my students.”
